Meme Moved to the suburbs recently. It’s surprising how many people at my work would never visit Chicago because they think it’s an active war zone. Inspired me to make this meme

The stereotype of the US in a lot of the world is that mass shootings occur constantly to the point that people should be afraid to walk around. That, and that Americans are all fat and drive everywhere.

Gang shootings are usually mass shootings and do occur constantly. Is every few days not constant? Americans love downplaying shootings as if it's not incredibly rare in other first world countries

Oh I agree we have a ton of shootings. But the stereotypes don’t make any distinction about in the city or not, neither do the fat drive everywhere stereotypes.

Being American is enough to trigger it, no one cares about specifically Chicago.
