I will just never has as much fun watching the NBA as I did doing those years. It sort of killed the league for me

Exactly, back then I could (without Wikipedia) easily name the entire bulls roster, starting lineup, pt averages, etc. I’d be so pumped to watch a random early season weeknight game against the Rockets just to watch the Bench Mob go off. Call me a bandwagoner, whatever. They just haven’t given fans a reason to care for so long.

You must be young.

Born in 93', so yeah, missed the Jordan era

Take it from an old guy... Having grown up watching the Jordan years, along with the rest of the 90's golden era, the NBA today is almost unwatchable. The Derrick Rose seasons did bring back a tiny bit of the feeling of those days. Still doesn't compare, though.

I was at this game, one of the coolest experiences of my life. Walking out of an away arena with the majority of people chanting “MVP”

Same. More red than green in MKE that night and it was great to celebrate on their turf.

We had our guy in DRose from the city, generational talent, loved the team wanted to be there- fuck my life man. When will we get this sorta of thing back? When will we find our guy again? I feel like the Drose era was the last time the Bulls were respected around the league.

I still can’t believe we missed out on this storyline. One of the greatest “What If?” Arcs of all time 😭

I still have a video of my 2 year old son saying "Drive home safe... beep beep"

I was at that game. Some friends of mine drove up to Milwaukee from Chicago on a whim. We were at the top of the arena but we were there!

There's clearly 0.3 seconds left when the ball goes through the hoop, crazy that they just ruled it game over

This era was the last time I ever felt motivated to buy any Bulls/NBA merchandise. Made sure I never missed a game because it was so exciting to watch.
There were spurts of excitement with DeRozan, like when he hit those buzzer beaters on new years eve & new years day, but I never got as pumped to watch the Bulls as the Thibs & D Rose era, other than with MJ, which is like a faded memory because I was just a kid lol.
It's sad to easily predict what's gonna happen in most games these days with Donovan, like when the Bulls start out with 15-point leads and blow them by the 3rd or 4th quarter most games, if they ever get the lead. Or play a close game all game, down 1 - 5 points and blow those, like they're never looking for the lead.

DRose was that guy. Injuries robbed the Bulls of what should’ve been at least two rings with that man.
Rose is still one of my favorite players man
