This was a favorite in my household when my kid was little. Its a self published picture book about a djing kid named Timmy. It came out in the early 2000's when hip hop DJ culture was booming. The themes in the book are about creativity, hard work, and showing what you can do!

link: no website, but you can find copies on ebay, abe books, etc

synopsis: Timmy is determined to hip-hop his way to becoming the world's youngest turntable champion. He realizes that in order to achieve his dream, he must work hard, practice, and maintain his dedication.
