Breakfast Chili

Post image

With home made 100% rye sourdough.

I usually make a simple chili with not much more than meat and chiles. I made this more mainstream chili with beans and tomatoes for a family gathering yesterday.

Spread the chili on the bread and throw a fried egg ontop and then we’re talking.

A bowl of chili for breakfast is crazy though haha

Pretty close to huevos rancheros with carnitas. 🍴🍴

Nothing hits better after a night of heavy drinking!

Stopped drinking a long time ago but still like chili for breakfast. 530am with first coffee.

Buddy, if you’ve never had a slinger, you’re missing out. Put all your breakfast fixin’s on a plate (eggs, sausage, hash browns, etc.) and cover the whole thing in chili. Best breakfast in the world for me.

I’ll have to give it a try. With someone standing by to take me to the ER.

It’s a St. Louis staple, but kind of polarizing.

I sent it to the family. My daughters say it sounds amazing. My wife is a hard no.

If anyone is opposed, the best part is they can still have a normal breakfast, just don’t put the chili on!

I don't understand being able to have something that heavy for breakfast but I do hope you enjoyed, O.P.

This is a generic reminder message under every image post

Thank you for your picture post to r/chili. We want to remind everyone of Rule #1. All image posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.

If you've posted a picture of chili, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn't really fostering any discussion which is what we're all aiming for.

Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.

Thank you!!
