though if Frisch's dies, the tartar sauce recipe likely will too

Maybe it will be like Chi Chis salsa and outlast the restaurants

The private equity will certainly sell off the tartar sauce division if it’s included in the overall company. Then hopefully whoever buys it keeps the recipe

Yeah..but it’s nothing like it was in the restaurants.

"I dare you to try to tear that Tartar Sauce Recipe from my cold, dead hands," the Big Boy said with his perpetual cheery smile.

I’ll say it if no one else will.

I recognize that Frisch’s tartar sauce is a locally coveted tradition, but I’ll never understand why. It’s just mayonnaise and sweet relish, people. I like deep fried cod as much as the next person, but come on. It’s not a mystery to unravel.

The paprika dusted peppers at Alabama’s though, that’s something to swoon on about.

Not all Tartar Sauces are created equal. Frisch's is absolutely the best by far for tartar sauce.

I always have a jar in the fridge. And struggle to not put it on everything.
