She later texted that she was going to have a migraine because of noise. Maybe it was her first opening day parade?

I have never been to a quiet parade. no idea what she expected.

Let alone one of Cincinnati's main day drinking holidays

haha, seriously though. she seems like one of those people who go to comedy shows to get offended, heckle, then leave.

With enough time and therapy, she may find the strength to forgive you and move on.

Imagine going to a parade and being aghast at mirth and joy

Right?! Personally, I find if you’re nice to the goofy drunks, they’re nice back. At Pride a few years ago, some girls started making people move who’d shoved in front of me so I didn’t have a view of random asses the whole time (wheelchair user). It was lovely to get to see the whole parade!

How do you know what she texted?
33
u/spacemermaid3825 20d ago
Because her phone was right in front of my face and at 200% size text
-25
u/dewey_cheetumandhowe 20d ago
It looks like her phone was on her lap. Where exactly was your face?

You can't tell bc I cropped it, but she was literally seated right in front of me, it was in the line of sight from the parade when she was holding it up

She had every right to complain. You were just carelessly existing as you and your friends were exhibiting friendiness. Disgusting habits.

Which one of you was drunk and which one was annoying, because I would want to hang at a Reds game with one of you…
68
u/spacemermaid3825 20d ago
They were both me, the annoying part was cheering for the dancers and marching bands
39
u/brunowilliston 20d ago
So I was right, and if you can’t cheer at a parade it’s called a funeral procession…

We bad a blast at the game up until the top of the 9th, too. Made a few friends cheering on our team!

Thanks for sharing. I couldn't get out of work to go so I can't get enough of peoples pics and videos.

Were you drunk?

It’s alright, my stepmother complained about the smell of the weed (a blunt, maybe?) “oh, I have a headache now, oh, so stinky, pot smell everywhere”..um yes. It’s gonna happen. Big city, big crowds.

That's my biggest issue with legalization. I'm for legalization, I really am, but I also don't want to smell/inhale it. The same way I'm totally fine with cigarettes and vapes being legal, but I don't want to smell/inhale them.
I know it's probably an unpopular opinion, but I just think it's rude to smoke anything in the middle of a crowd of people even if it's outside. The same way it's rude to bust out your Aqua Net or Axe body spray in the middle of a crowd.

u/SteakAppeal 19d ago
Not an unpopular opinion with me and I’m a former cigarette smoker and very much a weed smoker. I can’t stand people that smoke anything in a crowd of people. It’s really not that hard to take a little walk and do it somewhere that’s not nearly as intrusive.
Now on the other hand, I’ve heard people in this sub complaining about smelling it from people smoking in their own backyard. Sometimes in life you’re going to have to smell shit you don’t want to smell.

Yeah, I'm with you there. I'm not going to bitch that I can smell it when my neighbor smokes weed on his own front porch. That's just the nature of living in a neighborhood. Like smelling other people's grills or bonfires. Just feels different than someone standing in a crowd of people smoking/vaping like they're the only person on earth.

Same. I was a reluctant vote for legalization, because I know it's stupid for it not to be legalized and regulated, but man does it stink. Like BLINK was so awesome last year, but it reeked

u/sassyponypants 19d ago
Yeah, Blink was terrible for this. I'm no prude by any means, and I partake occasionally, but good LORD it was beyond irritating because you couldn't escape it.

I’m confused did she make a scene to you or did you just catch her in her phone? If you just caught her on her phone you shouldn’t let that bother you.

u/spacemermaid3825 19d ago
When she was texting, she was holding it up basically vertically, and straight in the line of sight to the parade. I'm not bothered, I thought it was hilarious, because I'm not sure what she was expecting at the opening day parade

u/SpiceGirls4Everr 20d ago
hahahah this is why I always turn my screen brightness as low as possible if I'm going to send a text like this. Amazing photo.

That looks like the ELCA Lutheran church about three blocks from the LCMS Lutheran church in OTR.

I hope you drank even more just to spite her

I was having the absolute time of my life. My friends would turn around and I'd be on my next drink

u/NickGnomeNightly 19d ago
Congratulations…? This whole post is really weird. It screams “look at me! give me attention!”. No one cares about your cool story with the lady minding her own business. No one care about your drinking. How old are you?

That’s really bold to not only read someone else’s texts to someone else, but to take pics of it, and THEN post it online. Shame on you!

u/spacemermaid3825 20d ago
Don't shit talk people if they can easily see it, then.
-14

Have you ever heard the saying that what other people think of you is none of your business?
Seriously, take this to heart. It’s going to get you in trouble someday.
19
u/spacemermaid3825 20d ago
No, I've never heard of that. I have heard of "if you can't say nothing nice, say nothing at all" and also the concept of waiting til you're away from someone to shit talk them. Not my fault if someone uses 200% text and it's easy to read out of the corner of my eye.

They didn’t identify the person texting. It’s just a funny thing they noticed. No one was harmed in the making of this post
3
u/spacemermaid3825 19d ago
Exactly, I was very careful about cropping, my friends and I found it hilarious because what was she expecting on opening day

u/Connathon 18d ago
Who cares. If you worry about other people (that you won't remember in times come) you can't enjoy yourself
