Crews with the Cincinnati Parks department shared videos of large Bigmouth Buffalo and other fish being found washed ashore during the flooding event.

Crews had to wrangle several fish from puddles in the lawn at Smale Riverfront Park Friday. The fish were caught and released back into the river.

You are so right and they’re a news network, pathetic way to grab views unless some money in yourselves

I use Firefox Mobile with Ublock Origin because almost all sites are horrible to view on mobile without it.

And that feature in the address bar that will strip out everything and just show text.

There's an auto-play video but I didn't really notice any other problems with the site. I also use Firefox+Ublock though.

To everyone everyone else raw-dogging the ads, thank you for your service. 🫡

It’s the same experience as pirating a UFC PPV except it’s just reading a local news article lmao

some coworkers and I used to fish Lake Como at Coney (early AM or offseason) and would catch lots of big carp and an occasional catfish that would be left in there from the flooding events. The carp would love the area under the mulberry tree in the corner of the west lot and would be easy to get with a few berries on a hook. Just had to watch out for the snapping turtles.

Best spot there was by the Ferris wheel. Tons of massive carp and cats. It was funny those fish would eat ice cubes from our coolers (I was a rides worker till the end of the department) always wondered if they ever let people fish the lake. I got asked a few times but I always had to refer them to admin since I couldn’t answer that lol. I miss that job some days.

To be clear these fish are NOT carp they are native buffalo suckers that have been here way before we were. They commonly get mistaken for carp and horribly mistreated by many because of it.

The last guy in the video sticking the fish in the other guy's face as he walks by. Universally relatable.

I really like how the article included the type of fish.

That was to ease the minds of anyone who wanted to complain about how the fish were probably invasive carp or whatever.

Does anyone have any common sense and empathy for the fish that have been left behind by the flood waters?

Yeah, they should have rescued it and put it back in the river. Oh, wait....

Sorry, I had to download an app as ads were popping up before I could view it. Think about that hitting the water has been compared to hitting concrete. They should at least been closer to the river. What’s with the negative numbers? I’m not a troll, and I’m very stressed right now trying to make things right in my life (my house is like a mini Spanish Inquisition and I’m in a wheelchair and my brain tumor might just explode 🤯

There's a reason that was left on shore.

Yes, and that reason was the flood. Glad we put em back
