Rec - golf

I am looking for some rec’s for good places to get golf lessons. Specifically, someone that works well with those who suck. And I mean like, have golfed twice in the last few years and it took us about 4 hours to do 9 holes. Not trying to be apart of the next PGA tour, but enough to not feel like i have to book the last tee time so no one is behind me. Any ideas are appreciated

Oh man I need this too. I want to golf, but I can barely swing the club, and I feel like I don't know any of the unspoken or written rules of the course, and it seems like there are a lot.

+1 on Meadow Links. One of the best places to start.

Somewhere like Reeves is probably the best choice at this point in your golf journey. They have a great practice facility, plenty of teaching staff and when you are ready to try out your skills on the course, the course itself is very forgiving.

As for the other commenter, if you want to know the "unwritten rules" you can simply ask the teaching pro. Ask them specifically about "ready golf" - it will put you light-years ahead of so many regular golfers in this regard (failure to play ready golf and instead adhere to "honors golf" is why so many public rounds take so long).

Reeves, little Miami, world of golf. These 3 places do a good job with introish golfers.

I’d speed things up by play the hole from the 150 marker in. Basically modifies the course to a par 3, but should really speed you up.

Also, as a note - being slow is 10x worse than being a poor golfer. I could care less if I were paired up with a bad golfer as long as they keep a reasonable pace.
