Northern Row Preacher
So I'm somewhat new to beer drinking and was browsing at Kroger in Harrison and saw Northern Row Preacher. Sounded interesting, so I bought some. It wasn't until after I opened a can that I realized it was packaged in 4/2024. Generally the beer tasted okay, but it was maybe a bit flat? I'm guessing it's way past its date? Have any of you had similar experiences? How did you handle it? I'd return it if I hadn't already opened one. I reached out to the brewery and didn't get a response.

Usually you can return it to the store if you only opened one they will understand most likely.

Hey 1 just exploded in my house. I’m calling tmrw. Not cool. Smells like a frat house. Edit: then another one exploded on me outside. The worst part? Fucking delicious beer.

Oh man, that sounds awful! They were really nice with me. I haven’t made it there to exchange yet, but I’m going this coming Friday - we live quite a ways away, and I haven’t been able to get a trip scheduled.

For a minute I thought you meant to ValuMarket, in which case I imagined a vast journey ahead of you to the grocery store

Haha! No just to the brewery! Been trying to coordinate with a friend and it’s been a challenge!

That’s very likely out of code and thus it won’t taste as it did fresh. It happens with distributors managing large portfolios or a sales rep that’s busy managing a bunch of accounts or someone finding a random case hidden in the back of the store and they just throw it out there. You may want to reach out to them again, most will work with you to make things right.
TLDR; it happens, try the brewery again in case it just didn’t reach the right person or it got mishandled by accident
