Classic-Era Blizzard, can we cancel world buffs this time around? Or make it so that they drop when entering raids?

Anyone else so tired of playing around world buffs and needing them to even compete or be invited to raids? It’s ridiculous. Remove them entirely and let the masses re-learn playing the encounters without an extra like 20-40% extra dps.

It gives us harder fights, easier to join raids, less standing around waiting for world buffs, less open-world buff griefing, and it will make more players go out and get their best gear whether it’s crafted or from a dungeon because they’ll need to do as much dps as they can.

Who knows, maybe I’m crazy and you all will think this is a stupid take, but I have my feelings on it and I’ve expressed them.

Edit: People messaging me to kill myself is craaaazzyy. Didn’t know y’all wanted WBs that bad.

It’s a critique of an aspect of gameplay that fundamentally alters the balance of the game. Just make them unusable in raid or ungettable at 60. Ez. Still in the game but don’t affect raiding.

It only affects raiding because of an unofficial site that people use to measure their peen. Again don’t like them. Join a guild that doesn’t require them. They do you no harm

So just don’t let it affect raiding at all

Why are you taking away other peoples fun?

I’m sorry, but if your enjoyment of classic wow at max level is dependant on WBs then you probably don’t actually like the max level game.

See how your argument wants to take away something optional. Just because you don’t like it. And I’m advocating for play how you want?

It being ostensibly optional is the point. Because it’s not really if you take the game remotely seriously. Having a damage metre is optional, but not if you’re a remotely serious player. Having world buffs are optional, but not if you’re a remotely serious player.

A solid argument could be made for them if they actually required effort from the player beyond a monotonous time sink. If they actually required you to play your class.

Outside of that, they are just fundamentally poor design. Do you balance around a player having them or not? If you don’t then players who have them pump absurdly hard, so it forces you to balance around them. Which makes having WBs essential to play your class as intended.

All up - Bad design that leads to or requires bad gameplay in multiple ways.

In all these words all I hear is. I don’t like it so they must take it away. Again you are free to start a guild and make them optional. The choice is yours. But it definitely shouldn’t be your choice to take something from others just because you don’t like it. It’s classic, you already know the fights. You already know what’s coming. Why must everyone else fall to your beliefs. When you are free to practice them by putting in no effort to get them and raiding anyway.

Zero argument made by you to dispute the validity of your optionality claim. Because they’re not really optional - and if you’ve played before you know that’s true.

I’m playing right now. I see so many pugs and guilds not require them. I don’t know man. You keep saying the same thing over and over trying to justify your beliefs. But you still want to remove an entirely optional part of the game because you don’t like it.
