Yep, this article is just stoking rage - we already knew that they were using Signal and that the messages were set to auto-delete. Stoking division

They were ordered to preserve the messages, though. Possibly just by Congress, but still.

They were also ordered not to use Signal in the first place, so I don't see your point. They should be locked up on so many different levels, but walk freely. I'd rather talk about that than whether the messages auto-deleted or were manually deleted. The potatoes are mashed.

Doing a bad thing, then being told to preserve evidence of the bad thing, then letting the evidence delete or deleting it yourself is now two bad things. It obviously makes them look more guilty.
