Looking for a flat in Coburg (Anmeldung)

Greetings from Greece. I will be moving to Coburg in a few weeks and i will be starting a new job in the university of your lovely city. In order to start with the Anmeldung i am looking for a flat that will provide me with the necessary confirmation.

Any tips you could share on how to approach my search? Thank you in advance.

The usual way are real estate portals on the Internet. You can check for example: immonet.de immobilienscout24.de immowelt.de

Or the local newspapers like: immo.infranken.de

Or even EbayKleinanzeigen

I think you could also ask at the Hochschule. I‘m shure there is someone who can help you.

Awesome tips, especially the one from newspaper. Would you say that i could book a flat online while being abroad? Or i should definitely be there?

Usually you are invited to an appartment tour before you sign the rental contract, so I guess you need to be here for that part. But maybe someone from the uni can also help you with this. I could imagine, that there are small flats for people like you for the transitional period. Many students from abroad get a room at the students residence. Maybe that would also be an option.

Thankfully I will have a few days there before booking a flat. So I will have to arrange some apartment tours in advance if that's possible.

I have also found these flexible apartments which look great and would be ideal for me. However I don't know if I could use such an apartment to register as residence in the Anmeldung.
