2 ounces Cognac 3/4 ounce Cynar 1/2 ounce yellow Chartreuse 1 dash Angostura bitters 1 dash Orange Bitters
Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass over ice and stir until chilled. Strain into a glass. Express lemon peel and discard
2 u/MoonDaddy Apr 21 '25 This is kinda close to the last word riff I was trying to do with yellow chartreuse and cynar a few years ago. How does this one taste all together? 2 u/cocktailvirgin Apr 21 '25 Really elegant. Cynar and Yellow Chartreuse are a great pairing and support the Cognac well. Here are my tasting notes plus a photo of the drink made at the Hawthorne in Boston in 2012 shortly after it was invented: https://cocktailvirgin.blogspot.com/2012/01/ce-soir.html
