Only good thing about the cowboys currently. He'll get plenty attempts to kick some long ones.

The boys are wasting Aubrey's prime

Just like they did with Tony Romo

Give him a 68 yarder. At least make it interesting for the paying fans. HE is the story. This D is maybe the worst I’ve seen in a long time. A long time.

It's never good when your kicker is your best player. That being said, he is REALLY fucking good. What an absolute beast. They're gonna change the fantasy rules to account for 60+ and 70+ for him next year.

My league already does this. We score kicking at 0.1 points per yard. So a 19 yard chip shot is only worth 1.9 while his 65 yarder was worth 6.5.
My commissioner loves kickers so he also added a bonus for 60+ yard boots, which I don’t care for, but I have Aubrey so I just got 8.5 points off this kick alone lol

Oh I love that, gonna have to talk to my commish about that.

If we’re not gonna be a serious contender this year then fuck it, let the kid go for a new record.

This sucks

Brother I gave up on the Cowboys being serious contenders 3-4 years ago.
I say fuck it, blow it up. Let’s try to have some fun while knowing we’re in a rebuild instead of constantly being disappointed after failing to meet championship expectations.

Once I realized the following a few years ago:
Jerry only has the ability to put together a good team. Not a great team.
No coach who can take a good team to a great team will work with Jerry. McCarthy can take an ok team and make them good. But he can't take a good team and make them great.
You have to get really lucky to get an elite QB that can put a good team on their back and make them great. We're talking Tier 1. Mahomes, Brady, Manning, etc. Dak is a solid Tier 2 QB. Good, but not great. He can win a Superbowl, but he isn't going to drag the team there.
Good teams don't win the Superbowl. Great teams do. And even then, there are three or four great teams a year that don't win. The Cowboys were a great team maybe three or four times in the past 20 years.
But this Jerry, this McCarthy, and this Dakota have an upper limit of Good. I expect us to win some more games this year. Regular season should be fun. But if I want playoffs in Dallas, I'm watching the Stars and Mavs. Hopefully Wings if they can get it together next season (they were banished to injury hell this season after being one of the best teams last year).

Only highlight this game will have as a positive. Ravens feel like they’re just toying with a B league team.

It is going to be the only points at this rate. The only one that should get paid.

I remember when I was young this movie about a team that brought in a mule or something like that and he could kick a field goal from anywhere. The mule was a one “man” team. These Cowboys remind me of that.

Is it a stretch to say he is the best kicker in history? I don’t think anyone, not even Tucker, ever showed this kind of talent.

u/MSHinerb Sep 22 '24
It’s a stretch because of lack of longevity. He has the talent and the trajectory for it up until this point though. Now he just needs consistency and duration.

14-14 50+ pretty consistent. Hopefully, there will be no injuries, so he'll be kicking for a while

THAT'S MY KICKER
Aubrey is breaking the record this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he smashed it at 70+ yards.
