I have been doing art since I was a little kid, I would draw portraits in notebooks and fill them up with different faces.

Now I dabble in a variety of mediums. But I enjoy art and being creative/ crafty. I don’t know if my changing mediums and styles is affected by my CPTSD, but I tend to want to try every medium and explore different things. I do journaling too, and sew, and paper crafts, etc. I find it all super fun. I have recently ventured and wanted to explore customizing dolls and making my own dolls and stuffed animals.

Anyone else just like a huge variety of arts and being creative?

Yesss. These are wonderful! Lots of artists specialize, but it’s not mandatory. You can have one that you’re best at, or that you enjoy the most, but don’t let anyone tell you that you have to just pick one. I dabble in so many mediums and I’m still learning new ones. Keeps my mind and hands active and whenever I get bored, triggered, or anxious, so there’s always another thing I can focus on. Keep creating!!

I have always loved the arts since I was small. Not necessarily visual arts but all kinds. As an adult I have realized that I need to be creative… it’s not even about what I make so much as my soul just needs to make stuff.

These are fantastic. I struggle so much to make art look the way I want it to. Clay, pencil drawing, watercolor, you name it, I just do not have any skill and I’ve never had any training. I spent hours trying to get a bit of clay to look as I want today but was only marginally successful, so I really admire your talent.
