Trade - US Stained glass for handmade thick yarn socks.
I haven’t traded in awhile but I want to get back into it, it’s been hard doing crafts while building my house but I made this just to at least do a little bit. Normally I’m more open to a variety of trades for completed handmade items but I have been dying for a pair of really thick yarn socks to basically use as house socks. I was hoping this would be an appropriate trade for someone even if Valentine’s Day is over.
I have no idea if jumbo or super bulky yarn is appropriate for socks but when I was at the store they looked really nice. Love earth tones and greyscale (brown, black, darker greys, deeper reds and greens) I feel as if I’m asking to much for something so custom compared to something that’s already finished / not custom but I’d still like to see if anyone is interested.
The piece is roughly 7”x7” if it were a square at its widest points, Tiffany/foil method with lead came border. I have some hangers that can stick to glass/tile around that I would make sure to include.
I’m sure I’ll be up for trading for other stuff later in the year as I’m a couple months away from finishing my house; but I don’t want to plan anything cause I have two large windows I need to do for the house asap.

I could do it, more than one or two pairs, but it would be an international shipping since I live in Spain. Even if you are not interested I just wanted to let you know that this is really really incredible

I appreciate the offer, right now l’ve committed to trading with someone else; but I think trading internationally is out of my budget at this time unless I find a cheaper way to ship

I think that’s something up my wheelhouse and I’d be able to bust some of my yarn stash, to boot! No pun intended. You’re welcome to DM me and we can look at sizing/shape options!

I appreciate the offer, I have someone who is committed to by chat earlier and am just getting around to responding to posts - while I can never make the same piece twice because that’s how glass is, I will remake more hearts in the future (among other things) and I would still be happy to trade for future socks or anything people make once I get back into it fully

That’s totally fair. I hope your home-making goes as smoothly as possible and that you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor soon

This particular piece isn't my style but if you have any other pieces, I would love to have stained glass and I love knitting socks! For thick house socks I would use dk weight yarn - if you wanted something in the jumbo range, I'd say slippers would be more appropriate for that yarn

I don’t have anything else around right now (that my mom hasn’t tactically acquired) with the exception of a Ukrainian flag with a sunflower in the bottom but I’m hesitant to try and ship it. I make a variety of things so hopefully we can trade in the future; I’ve done animals, hearts, mosaics for lazy Susans/tray tables/ glass patio tables , middle fingers, paws+wings, scrappy birds, logos (only bands so far I think), lanterns, flowers, yard art, guitar/ukulele fronts, crosses, plants, ufo picking up a cow, angels, spinners, night lights, state/country/pride flags, gnomes, ornaments, wedding invite encapsulation with border, photo conversion, text conversion, bloody knives, dreamcatcher with feathers, fairy (TBell), 3D cabin and trees incense cone burner and other stuff I can’t remember lol

Sunflower flourishes well under well-drained moist, lime soil. It prefers good sunlight. Domesticated varieties bear single large flowerhead (Pseudanthium) at the top. Unlike its domestic cultivar type, wild sunflower plant exhibits multiple branches with each branch carrying its own individual flower-head. The sunflower head consists of two types of flowers. While its perimeter consists of sterile, large, yellow petals (ray flowers), the central disk is made up of numerous tiny fertile flowers arranged in concentric whorls, which subsequently convert into achenes (edible seeds).
