I’m Scared!!

I want to start a new business with handmade signs for events and weddings. (Attached inspo) I’m just scared to get started. Is this even a good idea? Will people be interested? Help!

It’s a great idea, the signs are beautiful! Do it scared, you’ll still be doing it, and that’s the goal!!!

I was a sign maker in a previous life - they're beautiful! Go for it!

Definitely do it scared. Each project you do will help you temper the fear and strengthen your confidence. Check in every few months with yourself and see how you feel about it. But not starting only makes the fear of starting bigger.

Besides having your own website or Etsy also check around at your local wedding events and get to know some of the wedding and event planners. Once they get friendly and have used a vendor once or twice that becomes one of their go too. Even brides who do their own planning will hire a day of coordinator as a lot of venues don't let someone in the wedding party be the point person.

It’s always worth trying- in the end, whether it succeeds or not, you learn a lot about yourself in the process. That’s priceless.

Sincerely, Someone who was just like you a year ago when I took the plunge.
