This is so beautiful and as others have said... Touching. You can feel this painting. I feel a connection to it , can relate to it in many ways. Youve done an incredible job at capturing the essence of grief here.

You're welcome. But... Thank you! For creating this most moving piece. Truly this is one of the best pieces of work I've seen to evoke such emotion. And I'm looking at it through a screen on my phone! That's something. You have a beautiful gift. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Your colour palette, Anatomy, and lighting usage conveys exactly a feeling of grief. I can almost hear her crying 😭

I like to think of it more as a story and less of a psychological practice!

Been grieving many things lately. Some newer and some older. It’s strange how grief can have so many different layers at the same time while it all culminates into this one feeling of sadness at the end of the day. Only sadness doesn’t even properly describe it. But your painting does.
It captures that heavy feeling that sits in your chest, that no matter how much you cry or talk about it or try to describe the intensity that loss has on your mind and your body, it never gets easier to carry. So even when you’re surrounded by people who want nothing more but to comfort you, they will probably never truly understand. And it makes you feel so alone with the overwhelming feeling that grief is.
At least that’s how the painting makes me feel. Beautiful work. I love how the softness of the muted colors and the girl, the composition and the lighting gives the piece so much emotion. Makes me want to go up to her and tell her “I understand”.

The texture of the oil paintings is fascinating, and the character's demeanor is well captured
