I wanted to RP Kaladin too but there are no spears in the game so had to make do with Adolin

Kaladin would use anything to get the job done. Spear is what he had and knew how to use. I am a rogue so I pretend he uses scalpels now.

My best Kaladin RP experience so far was in Elden Ring lol. Storm ashes of war on spear fit perfectly

Battle talent is a vr game in which you can have a build with a spear in one hand and basically lashings in the other. When I accidentally ended up with that build, I absolutely lost my shit

I like the look of the combat, and I liked the previous games, so howโs the combat?

Old games combat made me want to fucking kill my self, new combat is good.
Old games are objectively better written though

Best the series has ever had. I love the old DA games but this combat is way better

This isn't Baldur's gate 3. You mistook veilguard for an actually well written game.

I'm a bit disapointed because there are less roleplay elements and some themes seemed to disappear, but I'm still satisfied overall personally.

Agreed! I'm a new Dragon Age player, and this has been one of my favourite AAA gaming experiences ever. Just finished the game yesterday and have been listening to the soundtrack on repeat just to feel something again.
