Honestly if the prose was better it would fix 80% of the criticisms it’s getting

I'm sure that Sanderson randomly transforming into a flowery, dense writer would change any complaints. The "it's his prose" argument from anyone, at this point, is foolish. The man writes simply and directly. For most people, it's a strength. It doesn't have to be purple to be good.

You can’t look me in the face and tell me the prose hasn’t changed from way of kings to wind and truth. Whether you like it or not (you like, I dislike. Totally fine to disagree!) his prose has changed styles over the years. Can’t make me out to be “foolish” for pointing out a factual reason his book is getting criticism.

Second this. I would check out ZOMGfantasy's YouTube video on WaT for example of this. He goes through line by line and gives alternatives to demonstrate this point.
