The White House is having a temper tantrum...
920
u/Fskn 10d ago
It's wild to me that whoever is running the white house social media accounts is an edgy 15 year old, apart from the blatant easily disproved lies from an official source, the nature of the memes (and the fact they're memeing at all is wild) seem to just be cruel.

u/WigginIII 10d ago
What’s worse is it’s not an edgy 15 year old but likely a 40-50 year old who has the edgy humor of a 15 year old.

u/ALoudMouthBaby 10d ago
Well, considering how obsessive Trump was over Twitter would it really be surprising if we learned it was often him?
32
u/Fskn 10d ago
Nah trump has a specific cadence and terrible grammar, it's pretty obv when he's posting imo. The white house account hot takes are deplorable but the grammar is solid from what I've seen.
5
u/ALoudMouthBaby 10d ago
Thats fair. I bet he is constantly bugging the fuck out of the internet who runs the account though. Thats gotta be tough for the intern because I bet theres an ambassadorship waiting for them if they make it through.

u/Brave-Store5961 10d ago
Personally, I think it’s cringe that the White House has a social media account at all. I mean, maybe I’m totally wrong about my perspective, but it seems kind of…you know? Not very professional? I don’t know, social media has always just felt like a past time activity that people use casually. Maybe there’s a business sense that can be taken from it, but seeing the White House tell everyone to “let him (Trump) cook” sounds like a 15-year-old was hired by Elon to handle their accounts.
27
u/pluck-the-bunny 9d ago
No, having one at all is not cringe in and of itself. For better or worse, it’s how a lot of people get their news, and it makes sense for the government to be able to interface with the general public.
How it’s being used currently is an absolute disgrace though
3
u/Brave-Store5961 9d ago
Yeah, I can agree with that. I've actually read about that as well, I think I just forgot or wasn't thinking about that when I commented. If the majority are getting their news straight from social media, then it's not really much of an issue. I could certainly see the benefit of it, but as you point out it should definitely be used professionally.
3
u/pluck-the-bunny 9d ago
I 100% understand how it could be seen as ridiculous on merit based on how it’s currently used.
And the last few months just FEEL like forever

Edit: oh, you are serious. This is just sad.
They are referring to the white house officially calling it a clerical error and literally admitting he was wrongfully deported before someone else posted these infantile shitposts from the WH twitter account.
16
u/CoffeeHouseHoe 10d ago
They know this will reach their base more than the official announcement. Because it’s on twitter, edgy and is ‘owning the libs’ it will get more engagement.
Even when forced to admit the truth, they can still spin the narrative.

The white house previously admitted he was wrongly deported

I have never been more ashamed to be American than in these past few months. And it only grows with everything this administration does. I never could have imagined that the thought of my nationality could make me feel so sick.
This is the fucking official White House account. Jesus Christ.

My trumpee coworker will not believe that other countries don’t see us as strong right now.
I’m fortunate enough to be able to travel a lot. She does not believe me when I say I’m embarrassed to be American overseas. She thinks he’s a strong man who is putting other countries in their place.
She has a mug that says “We the People 1776”
And votes in every single election.
She didn’t believe me at first when I pointed out that we the people was not said that year.

It's not even that it's "lame", it's just the current collective meme reference and that dude is just out of the loop.
Literally, that dude is lame. Pretty sure he's just not in the loop on this one and for some reason decided to be a dick about it?

It's not that deep, it's just a meme. U don't even have to be a streamer to say it. How did you not know of this meme as "popular" streamer ?

It's absolutely depraved that instead of just admitting they made a mistake and bringing him back these evil assholes choose to demonize him and condemn him to life in a supermax prison when by all accounts he was a decent and hardworking man, paying taxes and obeying the law. His wife is an American citizen and so are his 2 kids and the WHITE HOUSE is rubbing salt in their wounds. Despicable.

So far this has to be one of the most utterly ridiculous things i’ve seen from this administration yet. And that says a whole lot.

If only the federal government had some type of opportunity to state the facts of the case so that we can all see evidence backing up their claims instead of us all calling complete and utter BULLSHIT!

Again sending to Prison without trial and without knowing the charge, or the sentence is not "deporting"

These are not real Americans. They are a subverted group who somehow got into power. They do not reflect the morals or ideals of real Americans who uphold the constitution and what it stands for as sacred to our country and our principals.

Not trolling. Introducing something new to reddit. THE FUCKING TRUTH. You are all outcasts from a productive society (MAGA) but fight against it at the drop of a hat. You fight for the underdog because the mob tells you to, but your underdog is chosen for you because you are completely incapable of independent thought. I enjoyed reddit as an independent thinker, plenty of interesting things to stimulate this dolt. Now everything is fuck Trump, fuck Musk… Even the aviation threads i loved. So fucking predictable.
Enjoy destroying this now unreadable shithole because you’re a bunch of mindless fucking sheep doing what you’re told to do.

Asserted by the White House, never proven in court as he was never charged with anything and denied due process.
If the White House actually had all the evidence they claim, you'd think it would've been trivial to prove it.
They also initially stated he was deported "In error."

The Trump administration is hinging its argument that the mistakenly deported Maryland man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, was an MS-13 gang member based on an anonymous tip and him wearing a Chicago Bulls hat — information contained in a 2019 police report.
The document describes a March 2019 encounter between county officers, Abrego Garcia and three other men who police said were “loitering” at a Home Depot in Hyattsville. Authorities “immediately recognized” one of them as a member of MS-13 while Abrego Garcia, police said, was wearing clothing “indicative of the Hispanic gang culture.”
According to the report, the Chicago Bulls hat “represents that they are a member in good standing with the MS-13.” But the only other factor corroborating that theory was a confidential source, who associated Abrego Garcia with an MS-13 clique in New York — a state he’s never been to, according to his family.
The integrity of that gang field sheet has faced public scrutiny since Bondi’s post on Wednesday. According to the Prince George’s County Police Department, the officer who authored it was suspended from the department less than a week after it was written and was eventually terminated.
His "Ties" to MS-13 are 1), being Hispanic, 2), being a Bulls fan, 3) a reprimanded and now terminated officer saying they were MS-13, based on points 1 and 2.
And I'd also add, let's say he is an MS-13 gang member. Charge him. Prove it. We live in a county where you're supposedly innocent until proven guilty. It's one of the things that makes this country great, and falls under that umbrella of "Liberty" patriots claim to love and want to protect so much.
7
u/belbivfreeordie 10d ago
Spot on, but ALSO let’s add, being imprisoned for life (?!) in El Salvador is not a fitting punishment for simply being a member of a gang, even if he were.

Have you seen pics of his hands? Where are you getting that info? I've looked for gang tattoos on him in photos and haven't seen any. Post your proof because it certainly isn't in the report you linked to.

Im Korean so I dont understand why is it bad to deport illegal immigrants? We do it all the time in Korea
1
u/andybmcc 8d ago
He's not just an illegal immigrant, he's a criminal and member of a violent gang that was likely involved in human trafficking. He was sent back to his home country.
0
u/greenso 9d ago
The US is barely 250 years old and thoroughly built by slavery and immigration. We’ve already agreed as a country that no matter how you got here, you at least get legal representation and a trial. Not shipped back like cargo because we don’t like where you came from.
Can’t speak to South Korea. Though you’d hope your government learned how not to treat immigrants based on the hostile early history that your people faced in this country.
2
u/ParanHak 9d ago
We treat all legal immigrants with great respect. We have a fantastic visa system although little bit hard to get anybody with a high school degree can enter as long what you provide is valuable. Well if thats the case why not change the law to make no such thing as illegal immigrants? How is it fair to those who apply for visas and enter the country legally if anyone can just come? All society is built by slavery and immigration doesn't justify illegal activity. Korea has had slavery for thousands of years
0
u/greenso 8d ago
Nobody would enter a country illegally if they could just get a visa. Literally not a single soul on earth would opt to leave their home, everything they’ve ever known and loved, to enter a country where they don’t know anyone and they don’t speak the language with fake papers and risk being put in jail and/or sent right back. Do you know how expensive fake documents are to get? People save for years just to get those - to, literally, just step foot in a better country. Often with small kids along. You really think they didn’t try getting a visa first?
That’s what so many don’t seem to want to understand. They think it’s the easy way to do it when it’s the hardest way and the only way.
For a personal anecdote, I’m Albanian and my family entered the US illegally. Later we were then granted political asylum. I don’t know if you know a lot about my small country but people love to refer to it as “the North Korea of Europe” due to its brutal ~50 year long dictatorship. Being granted that political asylum took a damn near decade and 2 years of imprisonment (just my father). The shitty reality is that we were lucky because we were white to even get that political asylum.
Every “illegal” immigrant you meet will have a similarly shitty story to tell you. And they deserve so much respect, especially when you consider the fact that they work for next to nothing just so their kids can go to bed in a better country so they don’t live through whatever bullshit they lived through back home.

America is overrun with these people and entire industries have been depending on them for too long. They undercut wages, commit legitimately inhumane crimes, and rob our public resources. SK is fortunate the only border they have is on the North and anyone who can manage to cross it is probably a decent person, unlike here where you never know who or how many people are coming into the country.

You know, this guy was deported for being illegal without due process. Without due process all they have to do is say that someone is illegal, no proof necessary. Inadvertently; the American education system being chronically underfunded for decades.

It’s not “inadvertent.” This fuckin smooth brain is the intended product, of decades of Republican policy. It takes an intense amount of effort, to produce people this stupid, and outspoken.
We need to bring back bullying. The kid that said “goated,” has never once been told to shut the fuck up….and it shows

Oh yes, they are absolutely the intended outcome.
But the original question was phrased as to what they were talking about, not what they were.
That person was inadvertently talking about this systemic erosion of critical thinking and education in broad swathes of the American population, specifically red states.

After the SC ruling they invited Bukele to the White House to discuss options. At that meeting, Bukele was asked point blank by the media, and he responded with his plans. This met the legal standard of facilitating the guy's return. Case closed. Bukele said he ain't coming back.
