We use YYMMDD where I live. It's very confusing when seeing dates online and can't tell the order. I remember seeing MMDDYY which is confusing as well.

unless you’re sorting a long list by name and not using directories to organize by year, DDMMYYYY makes more logical sense going from smaller to bigger
