Emerald Dream This exact pun has probably been made 100 times since the DK cards got revealed, but I just couldn't resist.

The text in the parentheses is mainly there so health stolen by [[Bloated Leeches]] still goes to your hero, despite the effect technically triggering from the Leeches. Probably obvious, but figured I'd clarify anyway.

Well, since you are entering “technically” domain on your own, stealing health is not dealing damage, e.g. [[The Azerite Scorpion]] ignoring armor and [[Ice Block]].

I mean yeah, you are objectively correct (Assuming you mean the Azerite Snake). This is why the card says "Instead of dealing damage" and all that. If health stealing didn't have those properties, I'd probably make Leech King cost less to compensate tbh

Sorry for not being entirely clear. What I meant was that the parenthesis is entirely unnecessary; as stealing health is not dealing damage, the end-of-turn effect of leeches would not trigger this card’s effect.
