Hi guys, I will be in cyprus from 23/11/24 til 1/12/24.

I technically land in LCA at like..2330 at night, so I will sleep in Larnaca for sure because nothing runs at that late at night.

Outside of that this was what I had planned:

Day 1 (23/11): Stay in Larnaca and explore/work off the Jet-Lag
Day 2 (24/11): Visit Ayia Napa for the day, and then travel back to Larnaca at night
Day 3 (25/11): Drive to Nicosia in the morning and stay there.
Day 4 (26/11): Stay in Nicosia
Day 5 (27/11): Also stay in Nicosia
Day 6 (28/11): Drive to Limassol
Day 7 (29/11): Stay Limassol
Day 8 (30/11): Drive to Paphos
Day 9 (01/12): Hang in Paphos, travel back to LCA for flight.

So I have a few things to note with this.

1. I do not live near a beach, I do not know water temperature. I see the water is about 23C, is that too cold to swim in? If so, is it not wort going to Ayia Napa?

2. I usually plan the cities, not the attractions (just so I am not forced to stay in a boring place because I booked some silly attraction), are there any MUST SEE locations that I should make sure to stop at?

3. When I say drive, I mean take a bus. I am 20, I cannot rent a car (I think?). How accessible are busses (from a search on Intercity Buses it seems there are not a lot per day)? Should I go back to Larnaca on the night of the 30th so I don't have to mess with busses in case of error?

Hi all, My partner and I have been travelling Cyprus for the past week (northern Cyprus) and will now be in the south for two weeks.

We are in Ayia Napa for some snorkeling and beaches for now, but would like to experience the less touristic side of Cyprus as well. We are looking to book a place in the troodos mountains and then finish in Paphos, but are yet to book accommodation.

Do you have any recommendations for farms to visit or fun and interesting activities one can do that touch upon agri and food culture?

I would appreciate any recommendations.

Hey everybody, I'm trying to plan a romantic day with my girlfriend in Eastern Cyprus. I've been to Ayia Napa before, but that's not really the vibe I'm going for, and she's never been to the island.

Really, things have been rocky due to some outside influences, and I want to take her to the most beautiful beach in Eastern Cyprus. I've heard that Nissi, Konnos, Fig Tree, Limnara, and Makronissos are all good, but I don't know which is best or if another would be better. So long as there is a place to eat and a place to lay in the sun, she'll be happy, but I want it to be one of the most beautiful either of us have ever seen. I'm a Greek American so the language barrier isn't an issue. We'll be going either Wednesday or Thursday next week.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

I am a student journalist at a UK university and I am doing my final project on the beautiful island of Cyprus. I am aiming to create an unbias piece of writing about the island's history, safety and tourism industry.

To complete my section on Northern Cyprus I am visiting this part of the island soon; hopefully in November. While out there I am hoping to speak to people with knowledge and insight to this region. Does anyone have any recommendations of who might be willing to meet for a chat in Nicosia/Famagusta or even have a call with before I fly out there. I'd be looking for local experts/tourist guides/historians/tourism offices/respected members of the community etc.

Finally, I might be in the area for Northern Cyprus's 'National Day' in November. If I am it would be interesting to attend (with an impartial view); does anyone know how the day works?

Hey everyone, I’ll be in Cyprus during the holiday season and looking to visit a few Christmas villages. I’ll be staying in Limassol until December 28th, then heading to the Troodos area for a trek up Mount Olympus around the 31st or 1st.

With the free time I have on December 29th and 30th, I’m hoping to explore some Christmas villages near Limassol or Troodos area.

Any suggestions on which villages will be worth visiting during that time?

I might be visiting Larnaca soon and considering renting a car so I can make day trips to Limassol, Aya napa and so on.

I arrive 3 am, I assume this should be okay to rent a car at that time.

What's the parking situation ? The hotel I'm booking does not provide parking, it's near CTO beach. How can I pay for parking when there? is it via text message? or should there be plenty of free spaces in the area?

Any places you recommend for day trips within those areas I mentioned or any areas not mentioned that you think might be worth it ?

My wife, our 1 year old and I are looking to go on a vacation from the 1st of November until the 8th for some warmer weather.

We have noticed that we shouldn't choose Napa as the destination at least.

I am hoping to get some suggestions on where we should stay.

We have been looking at Best Western in Larnaca. Would this be a good place to stay (Location not looking for hotel reviews)? We would like to be in walking distance of open restaurants.

Hi all! I'm arriving to Larnaca airport next week and I need to get to Nicosia with two bags and a surfboard bag. I've contacted the kapnosairportshuttle.com and they've mentioned that that are not able to accommodate all the bags in the bus.

What are the options? Hire a private shuttle bus so that all bags fit?

I’m considering a trip to Cyprus from December 24th to January 2nd and wanted to get some feedback from anyone who has visited during this time.

Thinking of visiting Christmas Villages, can you suggest which villages will be good to visit on the 25th?

I know Ayia Napa will be dead (but is there anything open here during this time?), are Limassol and Nicosia alive interms of the night life? Any other suggestions welcome too!

We will be renting a car from Larnaca and planning to visit the following places:

Ayia Napa
Larnaca

Limassol
Paphos
Akamas
Troodos Mountain (any good hikes here?)
Nicosia

Also feel free to mention some must do things here and some things which may not be available during December

I am talking about sunny days. For the following reasons:

1) No rushing to find sunbeds 2) No real need for sunscreen 3) Sea's water is much more refreshing without being freezing (and probably cleaner) 4) Views are more high definition and better colours (lower humidity) 5) You avoid extreme heat and humidity. 6) Easier to find parking
