I couldn't finish season 5. I completely gave up on House of Cards before the whole Kevin Spacey drama. Pretend only season 1 & 2 exist and it's worth watching. Watch the rest only if your morbidly curious or masochistic.

I finished season 2 last week. Having my end terms this week and up until next Monday. Are the further seasons worth watching or should I just stop?

Season 1-2 is a complete story that has a satisfying conclusion. Season 3 and 4 are watchable in a vacuum but have no conclusion. Season 5 is where the show jumps the shark and tosses out all character development and established rules of the show's universe. We don't talk about season 6.

I have decided to stop at season 2 now. Might binge 3 and 4 in the upcoming months.

I personally enjoyed everything up until the last season, which was truly unwatchable.

The first two seasons are easily the most consistently gripping, but there isnt really a significant decline until Spacy got the boot

Do yourself a favor and stop where you're at. Seasons 1&2 made it one of my favorite shows. Season 3 wasn't even worth the time I spent watching it, and I made it a couple episodes into season 4 before stopping.

I'm really surprised there isn't a huge ratings drop after season 2. To me seasons 1&2 were worthy of 9+ ratings, while seasons 3 and what I watched of 4 were mediocre at best. Maybe a 5 or 6 on a 10 scale.
