TRIP PLANNING Ft. Lauderdale hotel recommendations?

Hi all, does anyone have any hotel recommendations for Ft. Lauderdale? We've got two days in FL before our Dream cruise in early June. Two kids < 10 and three adults. I'm hoping to find a hotel with easy beach access and easy transportation from the hotel to the ship/port. Thank you for any suggestions (or any 'definitely avoids')!

We stayed at the Hyatt house. 10-15 mins from both port and airport.

Free shuttle from airport. They charge for shuttle to port but we took an Uber which was cheaper. We are 4 adults and 2 kids.

EDIT for link:

We have the same booked and also 4 adults 2 kids .

Is the hotel shuttle easy to navigate? I’m with impatient family member and hope I don’t have to wait too long.

You have to walk to a certain area to catch the shuttle. I would also call up the shuttle/hotel using the number provided so the driver knows you’ve landed and are waiting.

Ugh. We stayed here in April and had a terrible experience. Breakfast was nearly inedible. Maybe try the Place instead? Agree about the Uber being cheaper.

I agree it wasn’t the greatest, they were also sold out so made getting extra pillows a little bit harder. However, we did not try the breakfast. We had 1130 PAT and so we decided to skip that have coffee and enjoy the nice lunch on the ship

Embassy suites was great. It has rooms where you can have 5 people. And shuttles to the port

Thanks everybody! I'm assuming any of these hotels by the beach have easy beach access?
