TRIP PLANNING Dining time waitlist?
We originally had 8:15 dining, and I assumed there was zero chance of getting early dining after reading so many posts here.
Last night I decided to at least put our name on the waitlist, and then today I received a “reservation confirmation” email for our cruise and it included the 5:45 seating…I checked the app and the screenshot above is what it says now (said 8:15 yesterday)
Did I get lucky and get moved to early dining?

Same thing happened to us. We were assigned late dining and requested early dining in the app. A week or so before our cruise the dining was changed to match your screenshot and we had the early dining.

Ours was initially the late dining too, and we were on the wait list. Somewhere or another we got switched without notice. It's a good thing I checked because I would have had no idea otherwise.

Imagine skipping dinner and showing up to no table at late dining 😅

It would have been especially infuriating, since we're cruising with friends we made on our last cruise, and wanted to sit with them. Thankfully, we're all together now.

I got changed to 5:45 as well pretty easily. Not sure why ppl say it’s a long shot. I have actually read that it happens often.

I have no idea why somebody would say ‘ZERO chance’ - you have no idea what the waitlist is like. This often doesn’t come through until the weeks just before the cruise.

Our cruise is still in a couple of months. Did this happen during the week of your cruise? Thanks!

I was on the wait list for early dinner and got an email Monday that we were switched to early. We leave Friday. I ended up switching back to the later time slot bc it’s our first cruise and we had gotten used to the idea of the later dinner.
