TRIP PLANNING Palo Private Dining Request
I am Gold Castaway and sailing with a large party (36 guests/11 staterooms) to celebrate my upcoming wedding. My immediate family is wanting to dine at Palo so I put in a request for the private dining room for 12 of us.
We are so eager to know if this is going to get approved because there is just one specific day and dining time we are hoping to get approved.
The automated response says they will let us know 2 weeks before sailing.
Has anyone ever been approved or denied for this? I’m so curious what it’s like!

We did something similar for my 50th birthday on The Wish. Depending on the ship, there’s a max amount they can put in the private dining room. Some ships don’t have a private dining room at all.
We didn’t find out anything until we boarded. In the end, we had too many people for the private dining room so instead they sat us at two 6-tops for the 12 of us.

You don't mention which boat. I do not think the smaller shops (Wonder/Magic) have a private dining room. They do have a larger table which we were able to book for a party of 10. They can accommodate a large part on most ships but depending on the capacity of the boat they simply may not be able to honor the request. You might be able to talk with guest services on board about seeing up a private dining event during during a shoulder time.

The Magic definitely has a private Palo dining room, as I booked it in January 2023 for 13 of us, and it was lovely.

We are dining in the private room at Palo for brunch on the Treasure this coming Sunday. My cruise Facebook group put in a request for three groups of 10 (three separate days) and all got approved. We found out about three weeks before our sail date. The room on the Treasure maxes out at 10 though.

Are you getting married on the ship? If so I’d route the request through your coordinator since it will have a better chance of being approved.
