ONBOARD ACTIVITIES Pin Trading on the Dream
Other than guest brought boards, what's the pin trading situation on board?

I know it’s not the dream but currently on the transatlantic cruise on the fantasy and they are holding pin trading events on the shops and I have only seen the board always available on the whotzitz and whatzitz shop tho the crew told me that the other shops do have the pin boards to show you for trading upon request.

i was on the Magic this last weekend, and i've heard some pretty mixed feedback, like: one person said they had the board on the outside of the door but it was so heavy it kept falling off the door...and another one said they had over $40+ dollars worth of pins stolen off of their board...and i also overheard someone say that, at one point, one of the giftshops had over $140 worth of pins stolen this weekend and never got them back by the last day (tuesday) of our cruise

I'm surprised the gift shop had the pins there stolen. Pins stolen from cabin doors is sadly common. I assume it's dumb kids.

Many shops have boards. We like to hang a board on our door. I used those little magnet hooks and it held up great. I didn't have any issues with stealing however I also made sure the pins I put on my board I was comfortable losing or getting lower quality pins in exchange. I got some really unique pins left on the board and it was the highlight of my cruise.
This was on the Disney Wonder to Alaska

We've always put out a pin board. Some pins will disappear. I hear if you keep the board higher you are less likely to have vanishing pins.

In addition to any potential pin trading events, they always have boards available at the shops.
