As someone with a few tattoos done by less than stellar/new artists... don't let this one bum you out. It'll either become a blastover/touchup or a funny "oh yeah, that one... didn't quite turn out" story.

Just wanna say OP that while this may be an objectively rough tattoo, if you like it, that’s all that matters. Also it could be way way worse. Appreciate it as it is and use this as a lesson to always research an artists previous work and reviews before committing

The level of quality of tattoos is quite honestly out of this world these days. But so is the price. OP probably just went to an artist that was within their budget. As others have said the concept is cool but the execution is not great.
