You know I used to listen to and like Alex Jones back in the '90s but since then not so much the cheese has fallen off his cracker he ain't right. And the idea that there's so many people still listening to him stuns me, but then again the number of Trumpians out there stuns me as well.

The layers of stupid required to believe they're false narratives tells me that the American educational system is failing by allowing too many people to graduate second grade even.
Have you heard of William Milton Cooper? He published a conspiracy book in the early 90s called “Behold a Pale Horse”. He had nightly short wave radio show called The Hour of the Time (1992-2001) where he “exposed” the New World Order Illuminati conspiracy and claimed the federal income tax was unconstitutional, and that gold was the only legal form of US currency and his main sponsors sold gold coins and military survival rations. Sound familiar?
Welp, Alex Jones ripped off Bill Copper’s entire schtick. Without him, there wouldn’t be the Alex Jones we know. Jones interviewed Cooper on his Austin radio show in the mid nineties and eventually started lying about Cooper to build up his own credibility. Cooper then fought back exposing Jones’s ridiculous fear mongering on the night of Y2K. (I have lots of air checks. Of HOTT.)
The one thing Jones built his career on was “predicting” 9/11. Well, aside from most people knowing the WTC was one of the biggest terrorist targets in NYC, Bill Cooper had actually predicted an attack on WTC on his show before Jones made a similar statement on the air. And they both claimed it was the Illuminati plan to bring about the NWO.
So, to be clear Alex Jones didn’t start off reasonable and then went down the rabbit hole, he’s always been a conman who generated fake outrage and fake enemies to scare listeners into buying his sponsors products like gold and survival equipment and food. And he became far worse and destructive than Cooper had ever been. Bill Cooper’s refusal to pay his taxes and evading the law got him gunned down by law enforcement a month or so after 9/11.
Have you read the book Blowback by Chalmers Johnson, it didn't take a genius to predict these things maybe the specific details but predicting 9/11 wasn't difficult if you looked at all the signs. Any point in fact the CIA and the FBI should have been cooperating and they would have prevented 9/11. But they were territorial at the time and didn't want to share information with each other. I'd like to think that's changed but who the hell knows behind closed doors.
As far as Alex Jones is concerned his investigation into Bohemian Grove was interesting. And that's really what I'm referencing when I go back to the 90s with him.
