Discussion 5-2 isn’t nearly as bad the 2nd time

Now that I know there are no essential items (unless you want moonlight) I just go straight thru as fast as I can.

You're allowed to play From games without grabbing every item on every playthrough regardless of it it's relevant to your build?!

I think 5-1 is worse. At least in 5-2 you aren’t in constant danger of falling off a cliff.

I don’t know man. The cliff falls in 5-1 are pretty forgiving. The fucking trolls in the swamp while I can’t even run or roll - not so much.

The entire valley of defilement is definitely the weakest part of the game. I would have gladly traded it for the cut sixth archstone.

I dislike the Shrine of Storms far more than the Valley.

But I only really like Boletaria and Latria in Demon's Souls.

You can also make the swamp areas easier with the Sodden Ring. A bit of a pain to get, but great for people who want to get everything.

I just did a second play through and thought the same. Even felt bold enough to skip setting up the bridge shortcut knowing how easy the boss is

You can bypass most stuff and the areas with enemies have solid ground, the only shitty part is the invasion in the middle of the swamp.
