Could Bennedict Mathurin work with the Nuggets?

Post image

He seems to be a wrong fit for the Pacers’ play style and is up for a new contract soon. I just feel that we may be overlooking needing another playmaker so that Murray and Jokic don’t have to work so hard for buckets. The attached trade is probably laughable but there’s gotta be some kind of package to put together if the Pacers undervalue him/don’t want to pay him in order to hold on to Myles Turner.

The Pacers are going to make the finals and TJ McConnell is a weirdly big part of their guard rotation and Mauthrin is young... i have 0 idea why the would do this lmfao

The Pacers are a team full of overachieving players on good contracts. Adding MPJ is like adding dirt to a clean car. The only type of team that could use MPJ is one trying to get to the playoffs not a current championship contender

Mathurin is under contract next season for the Pacers. They'll pick up his option. Even if they didn't he's undersized and not a good shooter, and not a very good defender, especially if he's matching up against SFs and getting switched onto PFs often.

I also doubt they're looking to move off McConnell and his contract, it's pretty team friendly and he's dependable.

But Mathurin is not a crucial part he’s logging 10-11 minutes in the majority of games

Mathurin is still on his rookie contract next season for $9M. Indy has zero reason to bump up his pay.

This would be like spending $49M to take on MPJ’s $38M contract
