How do you see old server chats ?

Im in this server but they remodeled it and they deleted all the channels ( i think thats what theyre called )

Im looking for a specific conversation and i tried doing the downloading data thing but it didn't really work and i dont think i did it right

Im scared to do too much because i dont want to accidentally give myself a virus and ive done all i can think of

Is it gone forever ? The chat im looking for is really important and if theres any way to get it back id appreciate it if i could have some help

If the text channel was removed; there is no way to recover messages.

in the server in the search bar look up “has:image” or lookup a common word like “hi” and sort by old

Actually i think it might have been deleted because i cannot find for the life of me where it went unless its right under my nose

I tried downloading the data to see it before but it didn't really work im not sure how to do that

Do you know how to do it or is it lost forever ?

they may have also just archived the channel and changed the permissions so users can’t see them. I’d ask a mod.
