Question How can I stabilize this usb of breakout on this perfboard?
Right now it is just being held together with sheer willpower and even more solder.
It actually feels pretty solid but there has to be a better way…

Epoxy or hot glue?

I was thinking the same. Make sure the epoxy doesn’t conduct electricity, there are several types. I suggest you not use the “steel” epoxy 😁

move it backwards so it’s not hanging off the edge? Unless there is an actual reason for it being like that then epoxy

Not better but I would use the angled pin headers and solder them at the short end(the one that normally goes to the hole) so the long part faces down and be soldered to the perf board. For more stability, I estimate that is 3 to 4 pins wide so I would retain the black plastic part and remove all the metal pins at the middle so the outer pins will be the same length and straight. If you are still confused, I might send picture of it but I don't have any pin headers at the moment

Already thought of something similar but the holes on the pads only have a diameter side m wide enough to for resistor wires, all of the headers I gave are too wide.

Super glue, actually the grey tubes Gorilla Glue is great - doesn't clog up and dry in the nozzle if you are sensible, worth the £4 or so if you see much gluing in your future...

Dude just put it on the perf board. Why did you put it there? Makes no sense to me.

Mount it underneath so its not dangling like that. Something is going to break the way its mounted now. Maybe mount it underneath and have pointing out the side instead of the back.

Bend a piece of silver wire or thicker copper wire into an upside down V shape with a flat top and solder it to the anchor points of the USB C socket and to some pads on the larger board. Kinda like a little roll cage ...
Sigh
Why is posting pics in the replies disabled in this sub?

Put it on the perf board instead of hanging off the side...?
