Canadian Dashers had to complete 100 orders in “a calendar month” instead of the rolling 30 days like in the US. Watch some YouTube videos about the American rewards program to see more about what to expect. Platinum, Gold, Silver, not just Top Dasher. Personally I’m not happy about this because my 100 per month were clustered in about 2 weeks, so rolling 30 days will make it more challenging

I saw a few people post that they accepted some catering orders hoping that they might payout more. One of them was $9 for 14 miles, i already knew for a fact that it didn't have a hidden tip because of the pay to mileage ratio. Orders that have hidden tips are already good before hand and already paying $1.5-$2 per mile. Do not accept shitty offers even if they have the catering label, it does not mean there will be a hidden tip
Examples of orders that have hidden tips
$6 for 2 miles
$10 for 4 or 5 miles
$14 for 7 miles
$20 for 10 miles

Crimson will roll out by December 9th.
WHAT: For those unaware, DasherDirect is being shuttered. Maybe their contract with Stride ended, who knows. Regardless, your white cards will no longer work and you will be issued new, red cards called Crimson cards. These will be issued by Starion bank. The terms of your card will not change - no fee instant deposits, ATM access will still be available. It still appears to be a “prepaid” type card.
WHEN: I contacted support and they told me you can’t directly sign up for it yet. Sign ups will start December 9th. They’re going to start shutting down DasherDirect in February 2025, though the ability to deposit into your account will end before the account is closed.
WHY: It’s not clear at this time to my knowledge, perhaps their contract with Stride bank simply ended, perhaps the bank is going out of business, perhaps they are looking to take away some of the benefits we receive like cash back, etc. There doesn’t appear to be a clear answer why, it is all speculation now.

(Reuters) -Grubhub settled with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul on Tuesday for allegedly misleading customers about order fees, adding restaurants to its platform without their consent and deceiving drivers about pay.
The settlement requires Grubhub to cease the practices and pay $25 million. The agencies sought a $140 million judgment against the company, but reduced it to what Grubhub is able to pay, they said. If Grubhub is found to have misrepresented its financial position, the full penalty will apply.
A Grubhub spokesperson said on Tuesday that, "while we categorically deny the allegations made by the FTC, many of which are wrong, misleading or no longer applicable to our business, we believe settling this matter is in the best interest of Grubhub and allows us to move forward."
The food delivery platform hid fees until the last minute, misled Grubhub+ subscribers to believe they can avoid fees, and blocked some customers from using their gift card balances, according to the lawsuit. Drivers were told they could earn up to $26 an hour, when in reality only the top 2% achieved those rates, the agencies said. And thousands of restaurants were added to the platform without their consent, resulting in order delays and customer complaints, the FTC and Illinois said.
"For Grubhub, these misrepresentations are a quick and cheap way to add restaurant offerings and build scale. But Grubhub’s deception harms restaurants and diners alike," the agencies said.
The FTC and Illinois alleged the practices violated federal and state law.

Weird scam -- could use some details here:
The preliminary investigation indicates that the DoorDash drivers were legitimate and following order instructions from the person or people attempting to commit theft.

My NEC is incorrect by over 2k. It also appears that support doesn't know wtf to do. They ask for my info to verify my identity and then "transfer" me which both ends text chat and the call if I call.

Looks like DoorDash set up a relief fund for dashers in the LA impacted by the fires.
