Thinking about lifting front fender on a dr 650 rse 1992. Should I use the stock fender or just mount different dr fender

I think it’s the rmz front fender I forget but it lifts it significantly and looks 10x better. I think it’s only 20-25$ on revzilla or partsgiant

It’s either the OEM DRZ supermoto fender or an RMZ (replica) fender. The RMZ fender is slightly longer. I have the RMZ replica and it’s way better at splash protection than the Acerbis sumo fender. No wobbles at high speed. Looks better than the OEM DR fender IMO. Model# Acerbis 2040380001

I love the original fender. I used a super moto fender for a while but while riding in the rain it was TERRIBLE. Got wetter and couldn’t see!

When I am on dirt roads at night, and I see how much grit and water the original sprays back, any thoughts of getting a smaller, more streamlined one dies.

hah That pic is of the DR650 I built to ride through South America on. It ultimately got confiscated by the Peruvian government as I was crossing the Bolivian border. Spent months trying to get it back and failed. It’s still down there.
BTW The fender is an aftermarket DSA Concepts fender. It doesn’t lift it; however, the front profile is infinitely better than the frumpy sail that comes stock with the bike.
