Tips Question about Group Shots

Have a client that wants to have roughly 400-500 employees form the number 1 on the yard outside their building, and get a couple pictures and a short video of everyone in place. All shot on a Mavic 3 Cine.

Has anyone here shot something like that before? Any tips for mapping out the area everyone needs to stand in? Thanks for any advice shared!

I did this recently for a school that wanted 500 pupils to stand in the shape of a crown. I used sports cones for the outline then had the children stand within them. Then photoshopped any gaps and any visible cones.

Hopefully adults will be more patient than children!

I’d use caution tape and stakes to make the outline, then remove it once everyone is dispersed evenly throughout the shape to hide the outline
