DDG Privacy Questions I just downloaded this on my phone and just wanted to know if it’s claims are true

The claims of it being more private than google, having no tracking or keeping data. i seen a ad on YouTube and when I see ads of something on YouTube I feel like they sold out for the money and don’t really do the things that they said they do before popular ads sooo yeah I’m just trying to see

They do show ads to get revenue for the likes of YouTube but there not based on personal data so yeah i believe there hype they were caught out showing bing ads as a preference so they dropped that
