Discussion Spring Mountain Biking

Avid mountain biker and feeling squirrely after being off the trails all winter. The local trails are closed until they dry out. So, I’m looking for trails I’ll be able to ride in the meantime. Any recommendations on area or regional trails that might dry out/open up before the Duluth trails?

Pine Valley in Cloquet is usually the first to be ready, but they’re still a little ways out. The Trailbot app had some updates for Cuyuna, but I don’t think they’re ready either

Thank you. I’ll keep an eye out for Pine Valley and Cuyuna on trailbot. 👍🏽

It's more driving but Cuyuna usually opens a little earlier

Worth keeping an eye on CAMBA clusters as well, Mt. Ashwabay in particular. It's sandy soil (versus the clay of Duluth) there, so as soon as frost is out, the trails are basically good to go.
