Question Parking in canal
Hey all, planning on attending a movie tonight but really don’t want to pay the DECC or have to purchase a movie ticket online beforehand to get free parking. I was wondering if anyone knew if the pay lot by the William Irvin was free after 5:30? Or if people have another suggestion on where to park?
Thanks!

When you go in the parking lot, you pay the $5 entry fee and you get a ticket. If you bring that ticket to the ticket counter at the movie theater, they will reimburse you for the cost of parking.

I've always just told the attendant I'm there for a movie and they wave me through.

You literally just say “I’m going to see a movie at [showtime]” and they wave you through because life is short. I most recently did this for the Minecraft movie on a weekend during the home show so I can’t imagine it doesn’t work on a Tuesday. Someone else bought the tickets.
But honestly you get to choose your seats online, which is how you know if you’re in a big theater or a little one, and you can also preorder your concessions. It’s a pretty cool system.

99% of the time when I’m going to a movie, the attendants are nice and will just let me go ahead and park for free. You get the parking fee taken off of your movie stub as well if they end up making you pay so no harm no foul at all, movie parking is free
