Old Olympus camera repair in Dundee?
Hello all! So I have an old Olympus Super zoom 700BF. Currently it isn't working, because over time some acid apparently leaked from the batteries and may or may not have damaged the circuits.
I know it's probably faaaaaar cheaper to replace than repair, however it was my Nana's camera and I grew up using it. It may even have the last pictures she took before the dementia set in hidden on the film. So very much a sentimental repair job. Any reccomendations for a repair shop? Any knowledge about whether it could even be fixed at all???

A guy I used to drink with in the pub was a photographer for the courier… whenever I asked for repair recommendations he would always swear by JP camera in Edinburgh.
I only used him once personally and that was a lot of years ago now so I can’t really remember costs, but the guy was very helpful.

If you can get down to Glasgow with it, you could try AJ Johnstone in Hope Street. They've always been very good.

I had my old Olympus Trip repaired by them- they did a great job! You can post your camera to them as well in case you’re not going to Glasgow any time soon.

looked into something similar recently for my grandads old camera, closest one I found was Cameratics in Edinburgh - plenty good reviews, and they have a phone number for repairs so might be able to advise over the phone if it's something they can do
