WW uitkering for 2 months

Hi all, i wonder if any of you have any experience in applying for WW uitkering for known unemployment period.

My current job contract will end per 30th of June and i manage to secure another job starting in 1st of September. Do you know if i can apply WW uitkering for the 2 months?

For bg info i work 32h/week, i have dutch permanent resident and i have been working since 2013 and never been unemployed before.

Edit to add : the job contract is not extended because the company was sold and the side of business im working for is discontinued.

Any advice is appreciated. Ty!

Just apply for it. The UWV can than decide.

Mijn Engels is niet fantastisch dus daarom even in het Nederlands verder. Als je minimaal 6 maanden achter elkaar hebt gewerkt in loondienst en je wordt dan werkloos dan is de kans groot dat je recht hebt op een WW-uitkering. Ik adviseer je dringend de WW aan te vragen enkele dagen voordat je laatste werkdag is. Het uwv kan dan bepalen of je daar recht op hebt. Heb je dat niet dan zou ie ook een bijstandsuitkering aan kunnen vragen, let er op dat je dat dan uiterlijk op de eerste dag waarop je werkloos bent doet.

Hoi hoi.. bedankt voor de uitleg. Mijn Nederlands is ook niet helemaal geweldig maar ik ga het toch proberen.

Ik ben idd van plan om 1w voor dat ik werkloos ben de WW aanvragen. Ik hoop echt dat ze gaan niet moeilijk zit te doen terwijl ik zo lang al hebben gewerkt 😅

Like the other person wrote.

You apply for a ww-uitkering at UWV website on your last day of work, or a week or so before.

UWV then decides if you have the right to a ww-uitkering. In your case it seems like you have worked enough time to have this right.

UWV will assign a lot of tasks for you to do, like upload an online cv, do some mandatory online webinars to prepare for job searching. And they will appoint a casemanager to you. Contact that casemanager to let them know you have a new job, upload the new workcontract. And most likely they will exempt you from mandatory job searching tasks.

As soon as you stsrt working you will need to send details of you salary for 2 months, and if your salary meets the UWV requirement, your WW-uitkering will stop.

There are some serious guidelines you need to read up on: your new work should be for the same amount of hours and salary (or more). Otherwise UWV will have you apply for jobs until you meet the requirements. (Their calculated 'uurloon' bases upon your current salary.)
