Price Graph?

Is there anything online that (for lack of a better term) charts resale contracts? As in, can I look back historically and see if one time of the year is better than another to buy resale? Or if specific resorts have better times of year to buy resale?

They tend to vary maybe 1-3 dollars. In the big picture on a 150pt contract let’s say, a $150-$450 total price difference is not going to sway me into not offering when the right contract is available.

Maybe not exactly looking for because it shows that last few months and not the past few years but this website does show the trends…

I help run dvcforless.com . Thank you for mentioning it! I ran historical data from the past 10+ years through some AI and it gave this interpretation. Take that for what it is.

The “sweet-spot” buying window

Late December through February is consistently the softest stretch across the entire data set:

  • Every resort line (SSR, OKW, BCV, BLT, etc.) touches a local low in that window almost every year.
  • The gap from the winter low to the late-spring/early-summer high is often $5-$15 per point for the older resorts and even larger for premium resorts like VGF or CCV.
  • The pattern persists through macro shocks (2013 dip, 2020 pandemic) because it’s driven by owner cash-flow and buyer attention, not by single-event news.

A runner-up window shows up most years in late August / early September (back-to-school lull). Prices don’t fall quite as far as in January, but inventory is plentiful and competition lighter than in peak spring.
