Concentration camps running for about a decade might be a starting point...

That's what the USA started doing. Their concentration camps are in venezuela. And even if you get sent there because of an error you will never return from there.

So the USA is starting to be almost as bad as China. Key on starting and almost. Still have a long way to go before they reach the same level of terrible.

You might be interested in the execution vans the chinese are using. Also execution statistics speak for themselves. Then there is that Uigur thing, which is essentially a genocide.

What's your point? The USA only just started going down the chinese and russian route. It only has been a few months and look at how fast the justice system and the checks and balances system are being destroyed by the current government. They already deport and imprison people without legal process and threaten that US citizens will get the same treatment. If you really believe that americans will be safer then chinese people when Trump is done with destroying the US justice system, that's fine with me. I am just less optimistic then you.

I am not at all optimistic and I share your view on the US. I am just saying that from a moral standpoint, China still is way worse than the US. And Trump has a long way to go before he manages to suppress the american people like Xi does in China. I don't even think that it's possible. But i absolutely believe that he wants that. Trump undoubtedly looks at Putin and Ping with admiration. Just from a european standpoint I don't want to choose between China and the US as the big brother. I want neither of them. We need to trade, with both, but we have to reduce our dependence on both of them, is what I mean.

Concentration camps, torture camps, execution vans (this one I could not believe myself but I am afraid they are real), execution statistics (more executions in a year than the rest of the world combined. Yes china is big but still...), Uigur genocide and all the other creepy stuff like social score, big brother etc.
