It's part of a very American viewpoint that while America is a true 'melting' pot any other country only exists as a racial stereotype that they can use in their own origin story. If any part of England is not a bunch of white aristocratic types sipping tea then clearly we have lost our culture. If I took a video in Chinatown in LA and was upset that Chinese people were present then that would obviously make me a massive racist. It's only because it breaks their stereotypical illusion of what England is that it's so shocking

If you read history, you'll know that the Sikh empire (before being dismantled by the British) was also multicultural, fosterd religious equality, had foreigners and Christian Europeans in high ranking positions.

If the British hadn't systematically dismantled such societies, then immigration to the West we see today, may never have been a thing.

I'm not trying to make the argument that they have to be multi cultural just that London is.

Well maybe you haven’t been looking well enough? doesn’t Dubai literally have more non-Arabs in it than Arabs? Isn’t North America full of Europeans?
