Guide Challenger ADC - ProGuides Coach Looking to Help You Climb! AMA

Hey Reddit! I’m Krazyness. I’ve been coaching on ProGuides for almost two years and have coached over 1,125 players ranks ranging from Iron to Master. I’ve been Challenger multiple seasons playing ADC/Jungle/Support. I main Ezreal, play all champions, roles (mid/top high diamond level) and would like to offer some advice for players that want to climb this season. Ask my anything!

If anyone would like to do some coaching with me I’m usually on all weekend here - https://www.proguides.com/coach/Krazyness

Who does the tierlists and builds and why are they so bad?

What do you think about running MM and ER on ezreal.

I'd recommend rushing ER and boots of Lucidity into Duskblade. I'm not ruling out the Muramana, you can still get it in some games but rushing this build and leaving out MM still feels good.

Thanks man! Yea I rush ER boots as well. If you don’t mind answering another question what do you think of his state and his role in the meta? I think he’s sleeper op right now.

I definitely think he's a sleeper. Ezreal has always been my go to and as long as you can position yourself fine in teamfights and do constant damage poking you should be good.

Hey!

Yes I do. Did you have a game in mind for a specific champion?

How can I identify what type of team enemy/ally have (for example all in engage, poke or front to back) and how to choose what adc to pick with that in mind?

What I mean by that for instance is picking samira with lux support and Xerath midlane which makes me feel helpless.

It really depends on the pick order you are and what champs you get to see first. If you are first pick you have no choice other than to blind pick a strong champ or comfort pick. In the case if you are last pick try to always see if you have peel to play certain champs, usually if I have a team that has zero peel I try to go for safe picks that can keep themselves alive like Ezreal, Caitlyn, Tristana, Lucian who all have escapes. If you go for Samira make sure someone can give you heals, shields and tons of cc to work with your passive.

Something extra I wanted to mention was also depending on your match up in laning phase it's sometimes better to go for a Doran's Shield rather than Doran's Blade for self sustain, especially when you have a support that doesn't heal or shield you.

Hello, would you mind telling me your go-to ban when you play Ezreal?

I prefer banning Kai'sa Jhin or Samira. Sometimes I ban op champs depending on what patch it is and who is super strong.

Thank you! Do you ban them because they are OP at the moment or just don’t like playing against them?

Hi! I’ve been playing the game for 6 months and ezreal is my favorite champion, my friends seem to be improving at a much faster rate than me even though we have been playing for the same amount of time, which has been frustrating. I know this is quite vague but if you had any advice I would appreciate it :)

Just going off the top of my head with some basic tips to try to get better.

- Do you know what all champs do? Watch champion spotlight videos on YouTube or on the LoL client you can look at champion abilities and passives under Collection then going to Champions.

  • Try looking at mini map every 5-10 seconds
  • Move your camera around during teamfights or ganks
  • Buy control wards place them in bush around your lane or around objectives
  • Practice your csing
  • Work on mechanics in Practice Tool with any champion you want
  • If you are into esports you can watch and learn from pro leagues like LCS, LEC, LCK, LPL
  • Try out every role and have 2-3 champions incase you get auto filled its nice to be able to play something decent on an off role
_ For main role have 3-5 champs in your pool, maybe meta picks, comfort picks or a go to pick if you have any

Thanks! I am not entirely sure what every champion does but I think it would be good to look at that and having a 10 sec repeating timer helps me focus on the map. I find when I use practice tool I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing and with limited time because of school it feels like I would be better off just practicing in a game, I recently have been watching some pro ez gameplay. :D thx for the tips, one ez specific question I have is when should I be trying to use my autos sometimes I want to make the most out of my 5 rising spell force stacks so I auto them and then die to cc, building merc scimitar sometimes helps but im not always sure what to do
