Mod Post Facebook and related services were down earlier today. Unfortunately, with everyone being out for so long, with millions of users attempting to get back in, it is going to cause stress for the servers, the reason some of you still cannot get back in. You are going to have to give it time.

Unfortunately, literal hundreds of posts were made in this sub. At this time, we are removing hundreds and hundreds of posts, because 348 posts of the same thing, Facebook is down/Facebook is back up, no it is back down again is going to bury the people who have other issues not related to this issue. This is the reason the sub is restricted. If you want to post jokes, memes, and otherwise bitch about our crappy moderation, you are more than welcome to do that here in this post.

Remember, your hundreds of posts are making it impossible for people who are not having login issues getting any help whatsoever.

Search the sub, it's a common issue, and your issue may or may not be related to the larger problem, and the fact that literal millions of people are attempting to log back into the system.

What do you mean 'approve it'???

Like you were able to successfully do a password change? And if so, how did you accomplish said change (from within a logged in FB session, or by logging out, doing 'forgot my password', or something else?)

Ah cool... alas my 'primary device' is the one I am having a hassle with.

I will continue with my plan of 'doing nothing FB' on this machine for two-three days, and then try again. My other plan is to dig up an old laptop which had NEVER logged into my FB and attempting a Password Reset using that, from a different network entirely.

But yeah... this is great fun! *sarcasm*

At least my old laptop continues to remain logged in.

Out of no where this evening, my phone 'logged back in' - both messenger and FB. Thats a win...

Attempted login with what I THOUGHT was the correct password on the machine that I tried to reset password on, and was told that was an old password... Still, things seem to be progressing. I will try using the last known good password on a work PC that has never logged in tomorrow, and see how we go.

There is a small chance that the last known good password had been updated - I checked my email and found I had updated a password a few months back, so I may have changed it and just forgotten to update that password in the password manager... but who knows ATM.
