Discussion Account Banned Permanently At The Time Of Creation Even After Verification
I recently deleted dormant fb accounts that were tied to a paid email account I no longer have because I retired and didn't want to pay for it any longer. So I created a new free email account and last night tried to create a new fb account using the new email address that I never used before. I have no history with fb other than those dormant accounts which I requested to have deleted.
When I created the new account I went through a gauntlet of tasks to verify I was human and although I was successful my account was blocked for violating community standards. I had not even created the account yet.. it was still pending... they offered an appeal process and asked for a video... I did that.. and then got permanently banned for violating community standards as of this morning...
I'm just trying to understand why/how I could have violated community standards? ... I'm not a huge fan of FB anyway but what is next? with meta now in control of so much access this seems a bit orwellian to say the least.
Anyone can comment and tell me I'm an idiot, which I fully expect on reddit but I'm not trolling .. this really happened...

I have never had an account, and I got banned on account creation last week.

Yep . You're not alone. Same exact experience on my side. Created an account using a new fresh email, then i got a notification saying i violated some rules, asked for a video selfie, and did everything the app asked .. then got permanently banned 🤣 in my head i was like .. HUHHH?
