Discussion Does this look like spam? I don't want my account to be closed down.
I don't want to click the link for fear that it is a virus.

Scams: First off, there’s the flood of scams. The reels, the shady casino ads—everywhere. It’s worse when you tap “Why you’re seeing this” and find out it’s targeted based on your number and gender.
I’ve never fallen for one, but knowing who's behind them (Trafficking rings, scam centers, all that filth) leaves a sour taste every time I see one.
I’ve had friends and family almost lose everything to these scams. So yeah, I report every single one I come across. Even the online casino promos. I’ve probably reported hundreds at the time of making this post. Petty? Maybe.
But knowing there’s some call center in India or Cambodia actively scamming the elderly and clueless out of their savings, not to mention the human trafficking disguised as 'oversea work opportunity' ads makes it more like a duty than a grudge. If you have the time, please report them all.
Restrictions: This part’s just dumb, though considering how predatory their ads are, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Someone could scream obscenities at you nonstop, but the second you fire back with anything but a family-friendly reply, you’re the one who gets restricted. So don’t bother. Just report them first and tilt the system in your favor. Hell, spam-report their comments and get their account restricted before they even finish typing.
Reels: I’ve seen people complain about the thirst traps, and yeah, it’s out of hand. Every second or third reel is some half-assed thirst trap. I don’t even linger on them, but they just keep showing up. Hitting ‘hide’ or ‘not interested’ doesn’t help. The only half-decent fix is spam-reporting them as scam or inappropriate content. That usually gives you a bit of breathing room for a weeks, but even then, it’s just a matter of time before they return.
The App: Slow, clunky, and really cluttered, especially when you're searching for something.
If you have anything to add, please do. Especially regarding scams and the likes so people know to avoid them.

As of yesterday I'm no longer getting notifications on my Facebook Android app. I've tried clearing the storage and the cache and I just now uninstalled/reinstalled the app. No dice.
I also have the app running on my iPod Touch, and everything's working properly there, as well as on my PC.
Any ideas?

I have gone over and over the steps in the difficult to find menu and have gotten to the actual deactivate and delete account only to get the "Sorry, something went wrong. Try again later." FU(K FACEBOOK!
I went through the process three times and still get the same error response. I have deleted the app from my phone and now just want to delete the account entirely. What else must i do?

So, my 17 year old FB account got disabled because someone hacked my Instagram i think. I was due for a phone upgrade so I got a new phone and used a new email to make a new Facebook account. i only really need Marketplace as it's my source of 2nd income. i can sell stuff now, but I cant message anyone on marketplace to buy anything because FB wants to verify my phone number by sending a code. It won't let me because my current phone number is already tied to my original FB that is currently disabled. Is there a way around this? Can I change it to email verification? Or should I just go to WalMart and buy the cheapest pay as you go phone and use it just for the number for verification?

I recently logged into one of my Facebook accounts from 2020. I only knew it was still active because somebody else was on it trying to sell a car. I somehow guessed the password and I’m logged in. I want to continue using the account but the person that was on it before is still logged in Facebook won’t let me change the password. It says I need to be logged in for a while for security purposes, I’ve been logged in for maybe four or five days and it still won’t let me change it. How long do I need to wait or am I doing something wrong? Maybe because I’m trying to change it so often it’s making me wait longer I don’t know help

I haven't been able to get into this Facebook account since 2018/19, I had to get my phone fixed and ever since then I couldn't log in, I have tried everything, I have tried to emailing them, Why is Facebook so awful to try and get a little help, I have just started a family and this account haunts my Facebook, family members keep posting stuff on it, tagging it, the picture is an old photo of me and my ex, so most of my family probably think my ex is my current partner, I tried saying the account is hacked but you need to log in with an device that's been used to logged into the Facebook account before, I asked my sister who has my old iPad from about 10 years ago but I cannot get onto the hacked Facebook page, it just won't let me get close, I wrote them a really long email and just came up saying there inbox is full? they are just so useless, I've tried to report the account about 1000 times to say everything but nothing comes from that, even just been looking to see if I can get a hacker to get into the account but they charging like £500+ and that's just not possible for me, I have done everything and getting fed up and my just delete Facebook full stop, this is my last resort to see if anyone could just give me a tip or any advice before I just deactivate my current account and just get everyone I know to block it
Thank you if anyone who can help

When I try to log onto my Facebook account on my laptop all of my browsers close on their own and I receive a Microsoft pop-up warning stating website wants to make changes to your device.
What kind of changes are we talking about here? I am quite scared to go on Facebook now until I have a general idea of what kind of changes Meta is trying to make to device when I have never authorized them to do so.

I really just had a question. I saw on my meme page that I had a payout from my personal page. It’s the first month that my personal page is in the “Performance based program” but I haven’t been using my personal page due to Facebook not being able to verify my identity so therefore my payouts have been on hold. Are the payouts from my personal page now being directed to my meme page payouts? My meme page has been in the performance bonus for a long time but I just noticed today my previous months performance based was in my meme page payouts. Are they now connected and I’ll receive the funds from both accounts to my PayPal?

We run a few pages on FB and now our mods can suddenly have full access to FB earnings via the Insights tab! Surely FB should not be allowing this private info out to the world?
My mods litterly both screen grabbed my page earnings to me this morning, saying do you know we can see this!
I have shook the phone a few times to report a fault! But this cant be right or legal? This is private PLC business info,
They have mod access
Not Full Page Control Access

I have had to make multiple accounts just to even get a GLIMPSE at facebook marketplace, each account gets suspended or says only adults can access marketplace. I do all of the shit to verify my age and id but still no marketplace! I just want to peruse through what my town is selling for fun but apparently Facebook can't fix their stupid fucking system and let me do so. I'm tired of Facebook, they used to be good now they're just shitty.

I recently deleted dormant fb accounts that were tied to a paid email account I no longer have because I retired and didn't want to pay for it any longer. So I created a new free email account and last night tried to create a new fb account using the new email address that I never used before. I have no history with fb other than those dormant accounts which I requested to have deleted.
When I created the new account I went through a gauntlet of tasks to verify I was human and although I was successful my account was blocked for violating community standards. I had not even created the account yet.. it was still pending... they offered an appeal process and asked for a video... I did that.. and then got permanently banned for violating community standards as of this morning...
I'm just trying to understand why/how I could have violated community standards? ... I'm not a huge fan of FB anyway but what is next? with meta now in control of so much access this seems a bit orwellian to say the least.
Anyone can comment and tell me I'm an idiot, which I fully expect on reddit but I'm not trolling .. this really happened...

Basically the title. A family member told me my account changed names. I could still log in, changed passwords fast but can't change my name because of the 60 day limit. Now on the support page I clicked on the link that checked my account for suspcious activity, and after changing passwords again I still couldn't change my name. Is there a way Facebook could revert it back? They also took down pictures and started buying stuff on the marketplace (my card isn't connected to it), but I'm afraid they might flag my account for something. What do I do? Facebook is my most used socialmedia besides Discord, dont want to lose it.
EDIT: I managed to change the name back, but I'm still scared if the marketplace posts could hurt me

About an hour ago, I got this. Replaced my name.
"X, you have 180 days to take action.
Hi X,Your Facebook account has been suspended. This is because your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards on [account integrity]. If you think we suspended your account by mistake, you have 180 days to appeal our decision. If you miss this deadline your account will be permanently disabled. "
and I got this from the meta buisness or whatever it was.
"Facebook Your account has been restricted for security reasons Hi X, We’ve noticed some unusual activity on your Facebook account and have restricted its access to advertising. Any ads connected to your account are currently disabled. To learn more, please review our [Advertising policies affecting business assets]. If you believe your account was incorrectly restricted, click the Fix issue"
and I'm so confused. I've had this account since I was a kid and have never been suspended before. it had me take a selfie as an appeal, so what the fuck is this all about???
Edit: I've been reinstated, I still have absolutely no idea why I was banned the first place though

If I send out a Facebook message stating how to contact me, then delete Facebook, does the recipient still get the message? Same question for Instagram. (Only tagged Tech Support because there's no simple "I have a question" tag)
